AAP – UNDP	Configured and installed six windows 2008 R2 server, for six government ministries/departments; one in Blantyre (Meteorological department) and the rest in Lilongwe (Ministry of Water Management, Department of Disaster Management Affairs, Department of Land Resources and Conservation, Department of Surveys and Department of Forestry) and connected them for data transfer and onsite as well as offsite backup services at each site as a disaster recovery plan. All these six sites are interconnected via VPN. Configured programmable UPSs that automatically and gracefully shutdown and startup servers at different power levels during blackouts, brownouts and electric power surges.
